I've moved to tumblr. Sorry, Google. My new blog and future posts can be found at this address:

Also at http://awordydailydoodle.tumblr.com - a daily experimental exercise where myself and some fellow "creatives" respond to a randomly generated 'Word of the Day.' Every day.

Landmines and Guitars
I'm excited to be getting involved with newly registered charity Demine Croatia - a project to remove the landmines left behind in Croatia after the Yugoslavian conflict. Going to be designing a brand new logo which could ultimately be implemented on their website, business cards, promotional print etc.
Here's the link for more info on the charity: www.deminecroatia.org

Here's a logo. It's like two G's AND a guitar hole?
In hindsight, it looks basically exactly the same as my personal logo. Hmm. Please overlook this detail - I have.

An Assortment of Owls
Some owls I did a while back, after going around some Bird of Prey centres with my friend Joe. Think some of his photos are on his website. I'm not really sure what, if anything, to do with these so I'll just leave them here for the time-being.
50 points to anyone who manages to get 'salmagundi' into a sentence today.

Website
Tweaked my website a little bit today. A couple of projects added, and some additional photos finally uploaded to existing projects. Nothing too drastic.

Misc. Posters
A selection of posters: need a little tweaking (i.e.. darker blue on the fly backdrop for text legibility) but otherwise pretty much good to go.
The raggedy borders on some edges are just from where I've badly screenshotted the designs.
Personal Logo
Personal logo for business cards/ portfolio/ admin/ website etc. and some images of the work process.

Fly in Amber
Fly in amber to be used for a poster for a talk at the Natural History Museum. Spent forever angsting over the colour scheme, then went with my original plan, as it's the cleanest. Just got to sort out the copy and then i'm done.

I actually quite like the blue background, but it's kind of unnecessary and may disrupt the typography.

Life-drawing
My favourite thing about life-drawing is watching some people negotiate how best to avoid having to draw a penis. It's highly amusing looking at the resulting vague, smoky groin area.
I went to life-drawing. It was enjoyable. They hold it once a month at the town hall so I guess that's my '2nd Thursday of every month' sorted for a while.

Leaves
Went for a walk and collected some leaves for these wax crayon rubbings. These are going to be used for a poster project.

Bat
Some more halftone. These are also unfinished, but not sure if I'm going to develop them further because a) there is really no need to work on them anymore. The only point was to practice some Photoshopping and b) It's kind of hilariously tacky. This one really didn't work out how I originally envisaged. I blame my fineliner drawing [below] - I was a bit cautious and it's all a bit "grey" and feeble. But maybe I'll rework it tomorrow.
